Re: Ideas Are Easy
Two Swords, Two Kings
Arthur has just drawn the sword from the stone, preparing for a golden age of triumph over the powers of darkness afflicting Britain. Merlin is busy helping the young king is establishing his court and gathering allies. But one of his allies is a little unusual... A second Arthur, young, strong, and idealistic, was given the sword Excalibur by the lady of the lake. He's also looking to build a court, gather allies, and so forth... and Camelot seems just the place to do so! The two Arthurs seem to get along just fine: they seem to have similar goals and a willingness to work with others. They talk strategy, introduce knights to each other, and even operate out of the same castle. Their friends, knights, and allies are a great deal more suspicious. Are the faeries up to something? maybe Merlin? Some sort of witch's enchantment? Are two mystical factions warring over the future of England?

Re: Ideas Are Easy
I like this concept. How similar do the two Arthurs look? Like the same man? Brothers? Cousins? Completely unrelated? Are there any knights that have a counterpart (perhaps with a different name) in the other Arthur's service? It will also be interesting to resolve how the Arthurs intend to rule - will they be co-rulers, will they split the country between them into two separate (but closely-allied) ones, will they choose something more complex (perhaps each controls half the country, but the individuals and locations under their control aren't split like bordering countries, so you'll have land that belongs to each and people who are under the rule of each residing in the same region; or perhaps they switch roles between Ruler and Advisor every few years; or something else entirely)?

Re: Ideas Are Easy
You can get some mileage out of combining two genres that aren't usually thought of as easily compatible.
Lassos & Leprechauns When blight and famine hit the Emerald Isle, it wasn't just the human population that was forced to leave. The Tuath Dé and the Fomori also transplant their ancient rivalries and the Otherworld portals to the new frontiers over the sea. How will the untamed American West react to the supernatural powers of ancient Ireland?
