Delay and Extended Duration + Alternative Abilities

Let's say that you have multiple abilities, each as Alternative Abilities to each other. One of them has Extended Duration and Triggered Delay. Would you be able to use your other abilities while the Delay was waiting? What about while the Extended Duration was going off?

When thinking about alternative abilities, it helps to imagine, not magical powers, but a gun with multiple modes, or different kinds of ammo.

An ability with Triggered Delay is like a grenade you fire that won't go off until it senses someone nearby. The grenade is already "down-range" so it doesn't matter what setting your gun is in. However, if the grenade will only be set off by a radio signal from you, then the gun has to be in the right mode to send the radio signal. There are actually a lot of options with Triggered Delay, so it may depend on the specifics.

Extended Duration is about the grenade's effects, not the gun's settings, so would not be affected by the gun's mode (e.g., putting a different kind of ammo in your gun isn't going to have any effect on a previously-fired grenade that's still pouring out smoke).
