Maybe, but I personally would bet on Isaac Asimov´s future history setting. it´s far deeper in lore and timespan, not to mention it´s the more popular known Universe.

Given the licensing nightmares of dealing with the first two, I think we have our answer. Which, personally, I'll find the most useful by far, even though I usually prefer to play in modem settings.
