In actual combat, you'd compute your parry from your sport skill -3, which is sort of like a -1.5 penalty, but you'd not want to phrase it that way.

In a sporting match in which your opponent is following the rules, I'd compute it from your Sport skill. Just because there are rules doesn't necessarily mean these are not "real blows". There is nothing impossible about a sport with only a limited number of attacks you could face (hence learning it would leave you at a disadvantage in a no rules fight) but where missing a parry could kill you anyway.
