The Na'vi are cells in a Gaian organism. Imagine if a culture of sapient bacteria came to Earth and tried to set up relations with our mitochondria. Their ecosystem should be at least a billion years older than ours - one in which symbiotic mutualists are the "next wave" after mammals. I would imagine that there are no diseases or parasites on Pandora - except for humans, and the movie itself showed us the immune reaction of a planetary sapience.
I'm reminded of both A Case of Conscience and Pennterra, both very fringe novels of ecological SF. |

This page provides a few useful bits about the Na'vi.

I think the hardest thing to model would be the braid thing. Everything else is just SM+1, bigger ST, higher DX, probably Fit or Very Fit (or higher HT, but definetly not +10HT, as someone suggested). Perfect Balance seem to be an aquired trait, but common to all true Na'vi, the hero didn't had because he was basically a human, learning to be a Na'vi. Some DR seem in order as well, although they were easily killed by rifle fire, so we shouldn't go overboard here.
The hardest thing to do would be the braid. It seemed to be a universal connection thing (biologic USB, like someone said here, brillianty, btw) that all living beings on Pandora have, the "horses" and "ikran" are just two creatures that the Na'vi are seen interfacing with, there's nothing saying they can't do it with any other creature, provided they can mount and get the physical connection going. Also, the whole thing about being able to "upload" their beings into the world network and "hear" the voices of the ancestors would be pretty tough. |

With animals its more like 2bonding with them" since they do come and listen after bond is created for 1st time. Also they mention somewhere in movie that animals(that mini dragons specifically) pick only single master for lifetime.

Well like others sayd the hardest thing is the brain thing. And since in my campaing every player is going to be Na'vi ,I figure ,theres no need for point costs and figuring how stuff should work.
All I need is stats ,that should make everything much easier. I think that they have more than +10ST ,because they can completely pierce a armored soldier with an arrow, or are there arrows or bows somewhat special? |

For the basic stats I think: ST 20 (SM + 1, -10%) [90]; DX 12 [40]; IQ 10 [0]; HT 12 [20]; HP 30 (SM + 1, -10%) [18]; Will 10 [0]; Per 12 [10]; FP 12 [0]; Basic Speed 6.0 [10]; Move 8 [10] plus Acute Vision 2 [4]; Acute Hearing 2 [4]; Fit [5]; Sharp Teeth [2] and Sense of Duty (Nature) [-15] for 188 CP if I right. Quote:
For the life style I could add Combat Reflexes, Upgrade Fit to Very Fit, Extra DX, FP and Per, Perfect Balance and the skills useful for rangers, hunter and alike. Quote:
To control the animals I bet to Mind Control (Specialized, Animals, -25%; Acessibility, Only throught the biological interface, -40%) [23], plus Ally to the fly creatures which them bond. The bond can also justify Special Rapport [5], althought in the film nothing like this was showed. The uploaded minds could be Racial Memory (Active, 40; Acessibility, Only throught the biological interface, -40%) [26] This costs 1 + 23 + 26 = 50 + 188 (from above) = 238 plus ally. Quite high but there are more traits to consider.

I don't know how to stats a SM + 1 long bow. But that big arrow probably can cause a lot of damage, the size of the thing is near of a bolt of a Scorpion I think. The Medieval Weapon Nuts can answer with more sure. My guess could be somewhat like thr+4 pi. Following the table bellow and remember, ST 20 is for an plain Na'vi, most of them including the females are hunters and have ST above the average. Code:
ST Damage with the Bow 20 2d+3 imp 21-22 3d imp 23-24 3d+1 imp 25-26 3d+2 imp 27-28 4d+3 imp 29-40 4d imp Another thing to consider: it's an action movie! They have tendency to magnify things.

Also you could consider those arrows to be Bodkins /2 armour divisor, due wast amount of heavily armoured creatures which roam about(Rifles couldnt penetrate armour of some of them)

There was more than 1 scene of a close-up arrow, there most likely not bodkin and if they are, then the tactical vest would be DR20
