Description: A 7 yard by 5 yard masonry room. The floor is covered in a mosiac. It depicts a dark one (polriket) with his limbs seperated at the wrists, elbows, knees, shoulders, hips, and ankles. beyond the fingers are what look like octopuses, done in the same color and style as the chopped limbs. The far wall has an the carved outlines of a stone double door with a small fitting for a gem where the keyhole should be. Scattered bones and gear lie on the ground. Entrance: An open Portcullis hangs in the entrance to this room. It has no visible lock. It counts as Heavy metal Construction (DR 12 HP 23). The Carved Door: The surface of the wall has been carved with tentacles, severed body parts, and cleavers. In the center is a hole that looks like it would hold a small stone, a hand print for a right hand. If a gem and hand that previously swore an oath to Polriket in Mar 2 are placed in these, A magical door will appear in the were one was merely carved before. If the door is touched or attacked in a different way, the first time a voice will shout "First Swear the oath at the Plaque." If it is touched again, or attacked, the monsters will be summoned, and the entrance portcullis slams shut with ST 20 (dealing 2d6-1 cr if applicable). If it makes it to the bottom, it mage locks for two minutes before raising back up. The wall is three feet thick (468 DR, 135 HP), if players wish to break in through it. An architecture or Search-4 roll can reveal that the wall is hollow IF the PC's search the room for something hidden. If damaged, the door will grow back at a rate of 1 HP per hour, then 1 DR per hour. Monsters: If summoned, Six Demons of Old are summoned along the left and right sides of the room, and attack. If destroyed, they will not reappear for 40 days. They lack unkillable, instead possessing fragile (unnatural) Lighting: -10 (no light) Treasure: Fine (+9 CF) Balanced (+4 CF) Dwarven(+4 CF) Axe ($900, 4 lbs) with Penetrating Weapon(2) (+$5,000), Dwarven Whetstone ($500, 1 lb). 2 Gems of Sard 1.75 Carats each ($250 each)

Description: A 6 yard by 4 yard room. Entrances: 1 door in each of its wide walls. One door is an extra heavy Iron-bound door secured with a bar in this room. Elder things crossing this doorway must win a contest against will-20, with each failure giving -1. The other Entrance is hole that looks like it would hold a small stone, a hand print for a right hand. This is the backside of the carved stone door of July 24, and opens for the same behavior, but has no response for incorrect behavior on this side. Treasure: A stack of 6 small metal cages ($40, 3 lbs each DF8 p25), 5 mini-traps ($80, 2.5 lbs DF1 p26), and two metal cages similar to live capture traps ($100, 5 lbs each, use phsyical stats of small metal cage) And two poles that look like fishing nets on long poles ($200, 5 lbs each). The metal fishing nets may be used with pole-arm skill -2 to trap and scoop up creatures less than SM-5 Vision: -10 (no light)

Description: A round room carved out of stone 10 yards across and 6 yards high. Entrances: Six stately archways. In the center is a stone coffin missing its lid. The Coffin: The coffin is empty, but has an engraving of polriket inside. Touching it causes a clear bell to ring, which will bring the monsters from nearby looking for food. A Per-based Thaumatology roll will notice the runes that activate this effect. Monsters: A 1-hex swarm of five-tentacled monstrosities with suckers and squid beaks. They're about the size of dinner plates when their arms are spread, and quite flat. Close inspection (Per-2, with a +4 bonus from studying the door outside) reveals a passing resemblance to hands, with four tentacles towards the "front", and one off to the side. The swarm has 12 HP, Move 3 on the ground with clinging, does 1d6+1 crushing per turn plus may cast a single spell, and is immune to crushing damage. It has 10 ER and knows deathtouch-15, wither limb-15, total paralysis-15, steal energy-15, and steal vitality -15, and also stealth-16. Its considered an elder thing and is truly evil. Its also considered to be part of Polriket, if that matters. The swarm lives only to eat, be that flesh or life force, though it seems to have enough patience and intelligence to wait for a surprise attack on weaker foes, and to guess which targets have armor, high HT, or high Will. The swarm usually hangs out on the ceiling, and prefers to drop onto its victims. All of its spells are touch range: note that total paralysis is just enough to let the swarm cast steal vitality or steal energy on its victim. Lighting: -10 (none) Treasure: If players break apart the coffin (5 minutes of vigorous and loud chipping away) and haul the 150 lb bottom all the way to town without breaking it, its worth $250.

Description: A 30 yard by 10 yard room, with 7 yard ceilings. The last 5 yards of the room are raised a yard higher than the rest of the room, with 2 sets of 2 yard wide stairs leading up to it, evenly spaced. At the far end of the room are five chairs that can only be described as thrones. three of them are in tattered ruins, as are the old tapestries that once covered the walls. Entrances: Two Heavy Ironbound double doors with heavy locks are at the front of the room, in each corner. They don't match the decor, and as such are easy to pick (+2 to lockpicking). Two average ironbound doors with heavy locks are at the back of the room, once again mismatching and at +2 to lockpicking. Monsters: Two schooling swarms, eight black servitors, and a Scheming Mindwarper calling itself "Untruth". Untruth has an orb for controlling schooling swarms (and with compartmentalized mind 4 and will 20, good luck winning that contest). Untruth is often in this room (50%), but may be in nearby rooms furthering its schemes. Untruth has a number of objectives:
Treasure: Each of the six glowing stones is worth $8,000*. The orb for controlling schooling swarms is $2,000. * seriously? this seems to be the price for a permanently glowing rock in gurps/DF. It feels way too high. ****************************************** I've struggled to finish floors for a while, but I've decided to finally just go ahead and try to finish the dungeon. We'll see if it takes me until December or not. It just might. I've been wanting to stick this mind-warper somewhere for a while. Reading the vignette above mindwarpers on how elder things aren't actually from anywhere gave me direction for untruth: in fact it isn't a being from elsewhere, its a tainted creature given extreme intelligence and appetite, and its trying to remake the world in its image. I've got to give Untruth more rooms, especially full of treasure, and lay out his "empire" still.
