Default Alchemistry, a new field

How about a field called: Alchemistry

It would be an Alchemist who is also trained as a Chemist. When he studies Alchemistry, he can make alchemist potions using chemical ingredients and chemical potions using alchemy potions.

Since this is a new field which can combine magic and technology (I don't mean lasers and vat grown hearts), it can bring in some interesting new items.

And because it is a new experimental field, the discoveries can be risky.

The Wizard's Guild hates the concept. The Mechanician's guild has some trepedition, but won't take an Alchemistrists into its membership.

There aren't really enough Alchemistrists around to even form their own guild... or even a school. Perhaps soon.
