Hey, folks, I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm looking for a resource and I don't know where to find it or if it even exists. I'm going to describe what I want and I'd like for y'all to please point me in the direction of this or something close to it.
I am setting up a medieval fantasy game for some friends, some of whom are new to role-playing. I'm building the setting around them and I don't want to be locked into the tropes of the big industry names. What I want to do is take GURPS lite and put together a custom packet for them with the advantages, disadvantages, skills, spells, and lore that I have built or customized. I don't mind paying for this. If I have to buy GURPS Basic, Magic, and other supplements in e-book format then that's fine. But I don't want to have to go through and type everything out or screenshot and copy paste. I'd love to just be able to hide content, insert new content (all my lore and custom spells and spell lists), and edit content in an electronic format and then either give my players electronic access to it (best) or put it into a PDF and print it out for them. Does anything like this exist? |

You won't find anything like this, because that would be illegally copying Steve Jackson Games's copyrighted material. If you want this, you'll have to do it yourself — and don't publish it anywhere, because it's not yours.

A couple of things come to mind. GURPS Character Sheet lets you create templates with skills, advantages, and disadvantages they can choose from. This is free.
Gaming Ballistic’s Delvers to Grow enjoys a reputation for getting typical fantasy character generation over in a jiffy. |

There's a virtual table top service that has a lot of support for GURPS (Forge-something?). Maybe the tools there would let you put together what you're looking for.

Sounds about what I did when I put together a campaign for my son and his friends.
GURPS Lite is free and has most of what you need rulewise to get them started. Kanka (https://app.kanka.io/) is an online campaign management/world building tool. This is where I do all my planning, keep notes, etc. At the point I'm using it it is free. Gurps Character Sheet (mentioned before) is a great tool both to put together the custom packages for character creation and actual character creation. I upload the updated Character sheets as pdf's to Kanka. The piece lacking is magic. I would advice you to get the Basic Set anyway, and there you get the 'standard' magic rules. If you're anything like me though, you probably would want to tweak and tinker with pretty much everything, and then there's no end to GURPS publications you'll find useful... |

Dungeon Fantasy RPG (powered by GURPS) might be worth considering, since it strips out the various GURPS rules that are not germane to the genre. But, unlike GURPS Lite, it comes with rules for magic.

I've never used one, but there may be PDF editor programs you can get that would let you frankenstein together the book excerpts you want and whatever custom pages you composed. (After you've bought PDFs of any and all sourcebooks you intend to draw from.)

Gurps Trait Sorter https://www.sjgames.com/gameaids/gurps/sorter/
lets you check for each (Dis)Advantage and Skill if it is Required Recommended Allowed Not Recommended Forbidden That both reminds you of what all the choices are and gives you something you can give players. |
