I'm suspecting this would be something more like a tulpa than a demon - I would certainly back this as an alternative to summoning/invocation techniques. For reference, if you wanted, say, to create a servitor by binding your spirit into "some post consumer human" using a create energy/mind approach as opposed to a summoning one would be the difference between a meat golem and a traditional undead.
