Given the fact that Earth has become very dependent on unobtanium, and that Pandora is the only known source, a follow-up invasion seems like a no-brainer to me. On the official site, I posited the whole first Navi War as a planned provocation to help sell the invasion to the public.

So how are the Navi and the beasts going to stop a full-scale war? They aren't. The objective is unobtanium, and no one in RDC is worried about killing rocks. The ultimate RDC plan is quite probably to nuke the hell out of Pandora or hit it with a dinosaur killer after piling up some more casualties to justify exterminating Pandora's biosphere.

So how is Cameron going to save Pandora?

My hunch is that the "eye of Eywa" is a lot more literally tied in with the "eye" on Polyphemus, and that those famous magnetic storms can be organized to create a colossal particle beam cannon, capable of vaporizing every RDA space asset threatening Pandora.

And what about the third movie? Maybe Earth will finally become uninhabitable, and a flood of refugees will arrive on Pandora. Even a tiny fraction of 20 billion people could far out-number the Na'vi, and some kind of compromise would have to be worked out to allow the two races to both survive, possibly involving the other moons of Polyphemus.
