Re: Gurps Vehicles / 4th. Edition
That approach seems so at odds with the rest of the way 4e has gone, with smaller supplements that are more modular in nature, getting released more often. I was hoping that this is where Kromm's disappeared to.

Re: Gurps Vehicles / 4th. Edition
Kromm does have an unspecified big writing project in progress. I doubt that it is Vehicle Design, since Kromm isn't the one who was writing Vehicle Design last I heard...

Nope, that book is still firmly in David's hands.

Re: Gurps Vehicles / 4th. Edition
I'm largely out of the Vehicles Design discussion loop, but will this be a physical book or simply digital?

Re: Gurps Vehicles / 4th. Edition
I'd guess digital. GURPS is shifting more and more towards digital, and Vehicles is a fairly niche product. I can't imagine they expect it to sell enough to justify the cost of a print-run of large, expensive hardbacks. If the digital sales are crazy enough, though, I bet they'd consider a print-run.

Re: Gurps Vehicles / 4th. Edition
It's always been intended for pdf. This might be underestimating its' appeal though. Ve2 had 3 print runs I believe. At any rate it has sold far more copies than the average for 4e pdfs.

3rd edition was in a different time. You can't compare modern gaming tastes, styles or business models to the past like that. I say that being one of those that will buy it the moment it becomes available even if I have to beg, borrow, or darn near prostitute myself to get it.

After that, it'll be treated like any other GURPS e-book: if it sells especially well, it'll get added to our internal list of "books that might be worth a POD run." I realize that we haven't done such a run in a long while, but that doesn't mean we consider that option closed.
