The elementals keeps swinging their axes at the skeletons. One skeleton dodges, but the other critically fails its dodge, and is hit for 9 cutting damage. Less 2 DR, that's 7 cutting damage for 10 injury. Having critically failed a dodge, it also falls prone (basic page 382).

TURN 3

The skeletons are in a bad way, the one on the floor tries to shake off its fuzziness but fails. The remaining skeleton hits the elemental but the strike is too weak to even chip the stone skin.

The two zombies try to attack Gathika and Telrith again.
(OOC: Both potentially hit. Players, roll your Active Defenses. If hit, damage rolls are 10 (Gathika) and 13 (Telrith) crushing.)

Telrith feverishly defends, spending 1 FP. He blocks the heavy blow! (wow the damage rolls for zombies are looking good!)

The elementals all out attack the last skeleton, but one misses and the other blow is dodged.

Telrith all out defends (shield). They're winning, as long as he can keep the zombies tied up.

Gathika stands behind Telrith and uses healing magic 14/13 on him, she restores 3 HP! You can observe tentacle-things patching his wound:

YES!!! FEED YOURSELVES WITH HIS BLOOD! (=`ω´=)

Bain does not manage to get off another volley.

(OOC: Vic, you are up.)

Vic carves another big chunk off a zombie.
Telrith keeps his shield up.
Gathika heals her teammate.
The elementals fail to destroy the skeletons.

TURN 4

The skeleton on the floor stays down, only twitching a bit. The other skeleton hits an elemental, but only scratches it.
(OOC: Rolled 7-6 DR=1 x1.5 cutting. Elemental takes 2 point of injury.)

The two zombies continue to menace Gathika and Telrith.
Telrith blocks the mace swing with his shield.
Gathika just barely parries the mace.

Bain has one arrow notched, but can he manage to shoot it true?

Bain fires an arrow straight into the heart of a zombie, causing it to immediately fall over and stop completely, destroyed.

Vic the digger, meanwhile, is also ready to slay the undead...

Victor slashes apart the last zombie and Gathika heals her teammate with a spell again.

Telrith, meanwhile, is still behind his elementals...

With a critical healing roll Gathika summons THE GREAT ELDER TENTACLES! They smear Telrith in BLUE GOO and his health is completely restored!

YES! (=^・ェ・^=))ノ彡☆ SURRENDER TO THE GREAT LORD, ALL LOSES ARE RESTORED AND SORROWS END AS HE TAKES THEM FROM YOU!

The goo is innocuous but sticky, it may smell weird, but Telrith is good to go!

Telrith backs up as his conjured bodyguards go to town on the sole remaining skeleton.

The undead guard is damaged by the elementals' attacks and falls down, and stays down.

Combat over.

The elementals finish off the skeletons by stomping on their skulls, crushing them. The party are now clear to open the door.

Vic lifts the bar and turns the handle. The room past the door is a grim one, accentuated by the creaking of the door. Several men and women - pale, sickly and dressed in rags - are shackled to the far wall here and shield their eyes from the light. Judging by their miserable condition, they have all been here for some time.
