In fact it can be even more perverse than that; I saw some research a year or two back which suggested that negative statements work the same way. So after an article saying "Dr Kromm is not a neurosurgeon" many people will still associate the two concepts.

Yes, but what I want to know is, when did Kromm give up editing and become a neurosurgeon? I don't recall where I read it, but I'm certain that this has happened.

Precisely. Dr. Kromm allows you to read the first draft, then cracks open your brain and re-arranges your neurons so that you remember reading the corrected, edited version.
