Was not sure and planned to check the PDF, as i noticed, that i miss exactly that PDF ... so, i bought ROT PDF from e23 just to be able to post here :)

Zone Berlin, one of the originals.
To make that clear: East of the river Rhine (Rhein) ... definitely Berlin.
That should mean, i am member of "Freikorps Robojäger" :D

Ahhh ... those Killer Swarms :-/

I live free and proud within the borders of the Washington Protectorate, though Wikipedia implies my beliefs are less than justified.

I'm deep in the heart of Zone Vancouver, I'm sure Steel me doesn't survive the war.

Zone Washington, in the middle of Georgia. But near a military base.

Could go either way. Might still be alive. Might even think that I'm free.

But probably not, since I'd be 87.

Depends, on Steel it's only 2026 (most likely to preserve the "no timelines past Homeline rule"). Unless you're 71 now, in which case nevermind.

I'm pretty sure I'd be in Zone Washington - I'm in Florida, and from what I remember the entire East Coast is Washington's territory. Might have survived the war, since I'm on the edge of a strategically useless city (Orlando). There are a number of decomissioned and repurposed military bases here (Orlando International Airport used to be an air force base, for example), but I don't know of any big active military installations. There's a pretty decent density of defense contractors around here, but I'm not sure that's enough to make Orlando an important target.

Right in the middle of Zone Caracas. Which is fine, if I return to my natural hunter gatherer roots, the zonemind won't mind me.

And I get to know catgirls!

Yep. We're dead. No question.

Still, we can assume it was fairly quick, at least.

And, to follow up with G-n-A's followup, the winters in Denver -- and the rest of the Front Range piedmont -- are fairly dry and mild. The nights get really cold, but the temperature in the day rises to well above freezing, and what snow we do get usually melts rapidly.

That said we do get snow, sometimes, and it can be a lot of snow, all at once. Oddly enough, though, the worst snow storms usually occur in March and April (or even May, but that's really rare) when low pressure systems scoop warm moist air from the gulf and pile it up against the eastern slope of the mountains. We call than an "up-slope" condition, and the snow can get really deep.

However, because it's caused by warm, moist air, the storms usually don't get really cold. Barely below freezing is fairly common, for spring upslope storms, and the weather usually gets quite warm again, very quickly. The streets are usually clear within two days, and the snow is almost completely gone within five days.

In the winter, the storms that come in from the Pacific Northwest only get to Denver after they cross the Rocky Mountains, where the air is bitterly cold at altitude. By the time they reach us, most of the moisture from those storms has precipitated out in the mountains. That can make for some incredibly dangerous conditions in the mountains, but by the time the storm reaches Denver, it results in some bitterly cold temperatures for a day or three, but usually very little snow, most of which melts fairly quickly.

The winter is dangerous, in the mountains. Heck the mountains are at least somewhat dangerous, at any time of the year. But, as G-n-A noted, the winters in Denver are really mild. People play golf, here, year 'round. We just have to bundle up at night, when we go out.
