Default Shotgun Combos

So the Horse Archer thread made me think about putting together a comcept dear to me, A Shotgun weilding Tough.

Of course he has Double Reload and Quick Reload Breech loader to reload his Whippet Room Broom quickly.

My question is: Is ti possible to build a combo that does the following:

Both Barrels/Quick Double Reload/Both Barrels again.

It certainly seems cinematic, could it be realisitc (this doesn't matter for this character - but I am curious)

Would you make it a 3 part combo, limiting it's effectiveness without Gunslinger?

Would you use Fast Firing, or Quick Shot, or Both (a la Multiple techniques), to represent the pure speed needed?

I am thinking I would add, regardless of other penalties, that you could not AIM and you can't target multiple people. Speed and Putting Lead Down range trump accuracy.

Also, if you make it a combo, how do you determine failure. A failure with a gun is generally just a miss - it wouldn't prevent you from reloading and fireing again. Heck, I doubt, without ETS or ATR, that you would NOTICE!

And is this comparably balanced to Extra Attack (Guns (Shotgun), Multiple Attacks)?

Those take you down to two Ready maneuvers (Tactical Shooting, p39). Switching to a detachable-magazine shotgun and the appropriate Quick Reload can make reloading a free action.

I am not sure how a detatchable magazine shotgun can be made into a Whippet. I will post the math when I find the books. But it seems Double reload reduces load time by 2 seconds, and Quick reload reduces it down to a (or is it by IDHMBWM) a ready manuever.

If A, Then is it down to a ready maneuver and reduced by 2? To "-1" (free)?

If B, then it's reduced to a ready manuever, can Rapid Strikes allow you to buy off some of the penalty? Perhaps a technique?


And if anyone has a pic of a pistol grip pump whippet/detatchable mag, I'd love to see one. I am thinking about the size that would reduce Bulk to -3 (Like the Ithica Auto & Burglar has)

Forgo the butt stock and I think that is what you are talking about.

Also, going to practice the quick reload on the double barrel tomorrow. The extractor on my old imperial is real good and pops the spent out itself. I bet I can get fire and reload in under a second. Probably not a second set though.
