Default tentacles and tongues for grappling and dragging

I'd like to model the Latch Toad, with its three terrifying jaws and entangling tongues. Once a tongue has grappled you, perhaps some damage occurs but the real danger is being dragged towards its toothy maw. Would this be a contest of ST, with failure (on your part) indicating both standard constriction damage and being dragged one or more hexes?

And any thoughts on the hit location stats of an oversize tongue - -3 to hit or so? My current latch toad is SM +1 with 5-yard tongues if that makes a difference.

Very possible this phenomenon is already modeled in the Basic Set, Technical Grappling, or a forum post that I've missed - no objections if a page reference is all it takes. Many thanks!

For what it’s worth, this case is covered better in Fantastic Dungeon Grappling.

The attack is just a standard grapple.

The reel in is Grab and Go.

RPK's MyGURPS used to have a Retractable Enhancement for Binding; you can find it here, complements of the Wayback Machine. It has since made it into print in Pyramid #3/115. GURPS Furries also represents an extendable tongue as a Long Arm, as an alternative option (particularly if you want there to be the option of cutting off the tongue to disable the ability). That suggests having Binding with Melee Attack, Reach C, to represent having a sticky tongue.

Just picked up Dungeon Fantasy Grappling and looks like the Frog March and Grab and Go do exactly what I want. But I'll check out Pyramid 3/115 too!

Frog March for the slow inexorable drag.

Grab and Go for “yoink, you’re eaten.”
