More likely it was because Beth would only know if it was in production if it was officially so; random authors may be working on some IN stuff without having already got a contract with (or even contacting) SJG.

Is there any news on this project? Is it at least still moving forward?

I haven't heard anything on this end or my source in the Foligo's camp.

The Girl Genius Sourcebook and RPG has been on hold for administrative reasons since mid June 2013. I cannot say when it will come off hold, but given its nature, I doubt that it could be anything earlier than a late 2014 release, and that would be optimistic.

I'm going to add 2 and 2 together and probably get 6, but I'm going to take it as an overall positive indicator that we will be seeing it sometime, even if not soon.

It is dates that I can't promise . . . "sometime" may well be in 2015 or later. I find it unfortunate that SJ Games mentioned this to the world so early, as the current status is barely better than "partially outlined, with a few preliminary essays written."

I happen to like the early announcements. I realize After the End is on an indefinite hold, but the thought that it might make it out is kind of cool. But I can see how people can get frustrated when they want a book real bad. I suppose the vehicle book was probably the one that was announced the earliest to when it eventually goes out.

GURPS Vorkosigan was in the pipeline for a while, but because of the GURPS book I bought and read all of the Vorkosigan fiction books in about 6 months and thoroughly enjoyed them.

I discovered the Girl Genius Webcomic because of the potential GURPS book, and now I'm a fan and am looking forward to the GURPS book, whenever it might appear.
