Default Character sheet rework and adds

Hi,
I'm going (at last) to run a SF campaign for players _new to gurps_ and I rework PC sheet, on the one hand for new translation (french), and on the other hand to ADD pre-calculated data, all of them are used essentially in combat :
- "less than 1/3 HT"
- "more than 1/2 HT"
- Shock (either 0 or "up to -4)
- HT+5

My question is : what data I could add on CS for my players ? What I've forgotten ?

Many thanks in advance for your help and advices.
Playful regards.

Speed/Range and hit location tables are useful. I've found adding a note of the time taken and hit points recovered for a successful First Aid roll at the campaign TL (or TLs) to be a useful time-saver.

They are already on the verso of the original CS, although under a simplified form, but very useful for player.

Make an area of the sheet dedicated to details of the character's job.

Ones I have on assorted character sheets:
  • First Aid modifiers for a first aid kit and for a crash kit.
  • A compact version of the Rapid Fire table (p. B373)
  • Lockpicking has its own modifiers for different TLs, worth having if the skill is going to be used a lot.
  • The Stealth modifiers from p. B222 and High-Tech p. 68-69.

Sure, it's a good idea, it's missing!

It's all situational info, and I wonder if it's going to overload the sheet too much. However, I would keep an eye on them as GM on my screen.
Also, what's missing and what I'm going to add is the DR per location, as in v3. There's currently only one DR box on the front and that's not much.

So, getting into the "advanced design" category, how about a section for situational information, with perhaps some predefined selectable options like johndallman's list that each fit into that box? Creators of sheets for different characters could opt for the one they need the most via dropdown or radio button.

Just curious. Is "job" being used in the traditional sense, so that a sheet for Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones, Jr. would have this section for detailing his career as a tenured professor of archeology, or are we talking his niche for a TTRPG character, where he'd be... huh, what would you classify Indy as?

I ask because both make sense to me, and long ago, I got used to physical character sheets actually being "Character Packets" for GURPS. For Third Edition, having a Spell Sheet and a Martial Arts Sheet wasn't uncommon around our table. ;)

The point being, having a section with relevant info for role in the party (adventuring niche?) and having one for your non-adventuring life sounds good to me, though maybe it is too much for Mavelic? This isn't just for roleplaying, either, but also rollplaying; it gives you a place to highlight traits that might be buried in your Advantages, Disadvantages, or Skills. My mind immediately goes to Housekeeping; even its entry in Basic Set Characters mentions using it for using it to clean up evidence. ;)

Occupation title/description, monthly job roll, monthly pay, consequences of failed job roll.

Actually, it occurs to me that you might also want to include a list of hirelings you've hired, including their monthly pay.

I'd call his "class" simply Hero. It's something of a jack-of-all-trades class that typically leaves the relevant character higher-value than the others, even if the others are better at their individual niches. Indy takes on the roles of front-line melee fighter (fisticuffs), skirmisher (when using his whip or pistol), scout/rogue (identifying and avoiding traps and enemies), scholar (obviously), face (he has a lot of connections, and can be charismatic when he wants to), etc. A great deal of that is because the narrative focuses on him (the movies have his name at the very front and his allies serve more as sidekicks than peers), of course - if he were just one major character in an ensemble cast, he'd probably have been designed with more of a niche.
