Sure, sure, but you can make yourself immune to any damage the GM might through at the party. Generally.

And that's a totally different prospect. I've done it both "accidentally" and deliberately, the only difference was with the deliberate way I gave the PC a bunch of weaknesses the GM could use to bring the PC down if they needed to for an encounter or two.

The "accidentally" way was an old 3e supers campaign, and it wasn't exactly accidental, I just made the PC too good at soaking damage.... and had high resistances and generally adequate attacks.

Also, now that I think about it, you could probably convince some GMs that the avatar of the God of Disease can cause a robot to get a cold (Affliction, Cosmic: Ignores Resistances).

Yeah, this is a big part of why I suggested the Enhancement be a Cosmic one.

This adds an entirely new meaning to "computer virus."

It would also be an interesting Necromantic/Technological magic spell.

Vehicular (or 'mechanical,' or 'machine') necromancy is an interesting concept in general. Tales of ghost ships are ancient, and ghost cars or trucks date back pretty far, as well (as do ghost trains and carriages).

I wonder if someone should start a thread for it?

There's a spell for a zombie vehicle in Gurps Technomancer (3e) (the Condor Group "raised" the Graf Spee in more than one sense of the word) and I think it may have been brought forward into 4e somewhere.

There's a lot of stuff like this in older Gurps material (both canon and fan). I think you might have to go to old Gurpsnet archives to get the Zombie Gerbil Launcher explained though.
