Great for browsing for flavor, especially if you read Latin -- there are some English texts, however, such as "Aesch mezareph or purifying fire. A chymico-kabalistic treatise collected from the Kabala denudata of Knorr von Rosenroth. Translated by a lover of Philalethes, 1714."

Definitely a couple of tomes in there for the studious Victorian-or-later magician!

This could definitely have gameable applications, and by some standards it's definitely weird:

This is even better than the helicopter in a couple of trunks from You Only Live Twice. Stolen for my 60s spy campaign I'm working on.
