Car Wars Designer at CWSparks.Org
There's an old school excel program that lets you make vehicle designs. I couldn't see where the database was if I wanted to correct some entries.
Is anyone an Excel Guru and can point this out to me? https://www.cwspark.org/downloads/vehicles/ |

I'm pretty sure you can do what you want with the spreadsheet but you may want to give this a try as it creates a vehicle schematic as well when you construct a vehicle. https://carwars.opentools.org/ |

Yes there are hidden sheets in CVD with the raw data. Be careful as you can easily mess up the logic as the macros may not be robust (especially running under later versions of windows).
I use it extensively as I like to be able to fiddle around with stuff off-line. The only issue for me was the need to save each design as a separate spreadsheet which gets a bit file heavy. I wrote a bit of python which extracted the summary data into a master text file of all designs but I think I'll try to make it a bit more like a database. I like the fact that there is a custom field which means you can easily add in any kit that got left off the main list (or handle esoteric stuff like salvaged equipment) without having to dig under the bonnet. There is also a vehicle drawing sheet you can use, but frankly it was too much faff for me and so I generally left it blank. |
