Vic drops his crossbow, fastdraws his sword (9) and attacks (8), but it seems the manticore dodges his attack. (9) If the attack would connect (because of the daze) the damage would be 15 (1d+6, rolled 5, cutting -1DR)

Just in case, I made the monster's dodge roll, it was a 7.

Additionally, Bain was already under stealth and camouflage.

After casting sunlight, Gathika attacks on her turn with her sword (15). She fails horribly, with 17. It’s a 12, the weapon turns in her hand and now she must take a ready maneuver before using it again.

retreated to get a +1 to block... and it saved Telrith from harm! He raises his shield as the claw strikes at him, and the large object stops the incoming blow.

"Hew it down!" Telrith orders the elementals. They will make all-out-determined attacks for skill 14, 1d6+3 damage (to the torso). If they are counter attacked, they have DR 6. Only one hits (stupid 15 roll), but is lined up to do 8- 1(DR) cutting damage.

Telrith steps towards Gathica and takes all out defense (parry). He has sheild-wall training, and will block for the healer if need be.

"Do you have anything to disable it! I hate big monsters!"

Remember; Dodge 10, DR 1, SM+1, HT 12.

1 damage to a random axe stone... lets say its obsidiax.



The stone elementals will continue their reckless strikes at the beast. Only obsidiax hits, for 6 damage (on successful dodge), which will become (6-1)*1.5 = 7 damage after it penetrates DR.

The elementals can't attack today! that's a 50% hit ratio on what should be around 83%. Oh well.


Telrith will step between Gathica and obsidiax, all out defend (shield for +2), and will shield wall block if either of them are attacked.

Bain attacks, he makes an all-out-attack double in combination with DWA; he deals up to 76 HP of damage.

Successful fast-draw (14) 9 & ready (14) 6.
The first arrow flies as a deceptive attack (prediction shot MA:121, -2 to skill -1 to dodge), to strike the creature’s vitals. The Monster fails to dodge with (10-1) 10.

Shooting 12 (13,3,1,-3,-2: DWA, acc, SM, vitals, deceptive attack):
Hide: 3D6 → 12(1 +6 +5)

Damage: 2d+4 (2) IMP *3
Hide: 2D6 → 8(6 +2)+4
Injury: Up to 36 HP, vitals; knockdown rolls at -5.

Successful fast-draw (14) 4 & ready (14) 12.
The second arrow takes flight, the attack is good; however, the monster dodges it (10-1) 6.

Shooting 11 (13,3,1,-3,-2-1: DWA, acc, SM, vitals, deceptive attack, quick-shooting):
Hide: 3D6 → 10(4 +4 +2)

Successful fast-draw (13) 8 & ready (14) 14.
Finally, the third arrow strikes the creatures head, which it fails to dodge (10) 12:

Shooting 11 (15,3,1,-7,-1: Bow, acc, SM, skull, quick-shooting):
Hide: 3D6 → 11(3 +5 +3)

Damage: 2d+4 (2) IMP *4
Hide: 2D6 → 6(5 +1)+4
Injury: Up to 40 HP, skull; knockdown rolls at -10

The monster rolls HT (12-10):
Hide: 3D6 → 10(4 +3 +3)

K.O.!
