Dumb question re G: MASS COMBAT & G: MA
This is probably a dumb question, but I suppose this has to be asked...
Those Combat Cards that were provided for free - why haven't those been updated to include the GURPS MARTIAL ARTS combat options? And, as long as we're on the topic - why wasn't GURPS MASS COMBAT provided those same type cards as well? Can you imagine having two sets of cards, one for the GM, and one for the player character leader of the mass combat, for which both place down face down on the table, flip over simultaneously, and be able to read the pertinent information regarding their combat tactic chosen? It would likely play faster if it were organized in such a fashion. Just musing aloud.

The Mass Combat cards are in one of the Pyramid issues, can't remember which one off the top of my head, tho.
EDIT: Pyramid v3 #4, p. 18

There are options from the Basic Set that aren't in the Combat Cards. I suspect that they haven't been updated because nobody wants to do the work for free.
Have you seen the mook's cheat sheets though? They are pretty awesome. |

While I was looking at the cover for the revised GURPS MASS COMBAT, I saw the illustration of the Marching Legionaires, and thought "Those would make a nice backing for the MASS COMBAT cards". If people think there is a high enough demand for it, and no one complains about utilizing that graphic for the backs of the cards for "Low Tech Mass Combat", then I'd start trying to figure out how to make those darned things myself <g>. It would appear, that one would have to toss out the previous work entirely, and create a whole new set of Combat Cards including the Martial Arts options.

You just need to copy the text from existing combat cards in a new file, and add the Martial Arts rules of your choice.

I remember having done an OpenOffice File with the Combatcard texts to print them on prepunched blank business cards, it wasn't very hard.
