We played so that fatigue could only make you unconscious (could not drop you below 1). However, if you received an actual wound that dropped you to 0, you were dead. So sending a 5 point missile spell and then suffering 6 points of physical damage killed you if your strength was 11. But, suffering 6 points of damage meant that you could only send a 4 point missile spell which dropped you unconscious.

the original question is still unanswered.

We all have our own house rules, good or not so good. And we have already discussed about this.
It's more interesting an answer from who knows how the things will be managed in the new TFT.
