Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Provided they can come up with an acceptable oath to protect themselves... If you betray me without just cause may you befaull the same fate as though you betrayed your most sacred oaths, yadda yadda, they will pony up the blood.
In for a penny. |

If V is willing to pay the blood price, that's fine with me.

I think it's clear we need to go with the flow. Hopefully counter-oaths will provide some protection.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Hamussi: "May any malevolence placed by this blood return upon my head."
It appears you have nothing emblematic of Yi then? She gives him a knife while she holds the bowl, an asks for quite a substantial cut. the blood pools in the basin. (does the cut heal by itself? Do you have regen on? you usually do....) Then she recites some vigorous words, stirs the blood with her finger, and throws it on a stone wall etched with patterns behind her. It drips down the wall, and she begins to inspect it. She seems quite surprized by what she reads, though she does not share very much of it. She calls in three girls to clean the wall and say what they see: they say that the monster transformation signs are backwards, and that the subject is the enemy of an enemy, and fate rests heavy on him. Then she asks for Halcyone's blood. (Does Halcyone's blood look like blood?)

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Vassar is double regen right now, the standard Regen from the Genesis form, plus Vassarious was made an immortal.

I sigh, and ask for the same oaths to be stated, then I cut myself.
The familiar (to me) milky white blood comes out. "What? Fluorocarbons are better oxygen carriers." |

And they thought Vassar's blood interesting...

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Hamussi recognizes the immortal regeneration, and opens the vein wide, taking 5 HP worth of blood.
There is a gasp of surprise as the white blood flows out. The three girls lean over the bowl, and Hamussi stirs the blood for a full 20 seconds. Hamussi: "I do not understand your explanation. Your blood is... quite strange, and it will be challenging to read... see girls, the change in viscocity. See how it clings differently when I smear it on the bowl. " She flings the blood from the bowl at the freshly clean wall, and then inspects her work. (She's used only 3 HP worth of blood from Halcyone). She reads for a while, speaking to her students. They once again note the "Reversed Monster transformation". They also note "Heavy Betrayal... but no broken oaths." They have a few questions for Halcyone: "What can you tell me about your birth?" "Are you a witch or not?" Hamussi is disappointed that you have not offered any real connection to Yi, but says she will do her best. She looks over what Vassar has found so far, and then asks for just a little more blood each (1 HP)... and drops some wool, some dust, and a silver spear icon into the blood, and smears it over a wooden board. She frowns. "This clearly says he is dead. But he died from magic, not from a slit throat. He was laid low... by his own curse." "But your reading says he is still alive. Some of the time. Do it again, if you don't mind. The method that usually says he's alive." If Vassarious does the ritual again, it will indicate Yi is alive. The three girls are watching all of this fascinated.
