I think the Unarmed Combat ladder should be split up, making Boxing and Wrestling the lowest levels, and at higher levels the nerve pinches &c.
I'd be against starting Boxing with a powerful 2-point talent. Lots of characters want to be able to say, "Sure, I've been in a fight or two, I know how to throw a punch." In fact probably most fighters feel they want to say this. There should be a basic level talent they can pick up cheaply so they can say that. An alternative theory is that everybody in TFT, even wizards, has this talent from generation. You might your two attacks talent an advanced unarmed talent, but I think it would be better to make it something that isn't tied to unarmed. Let any character acquire the ability to attack twice in a turn with penalty, and expect advanced fighters to get it. |
