Samson suddenly turns around and looks back at the brave. He says in Sioux,"That is my traveling companion. He will not act unless you do. Do I look like a man that needs help against one Brave?" See the birds fly off he looks back at the Sioux,"Perhaps it best you be on your way I have a feeling we are going to have more visitors."

Hearing the brave's cry, Pericles tells Sebastien to slow up -- they will proceed at a walking pace.

"Best not to alarm those two -- they seem to be having a conversation, which is rather curious considering the situation."

The brave looks over his shoulder at the wagon containing Pericles and Sabastian before turning back to Samson.
"My people did not do this"

Samson rubs his chin with the barrel of the shotgun and looks around for tracks or something that will show him signs it was something other than Sioux.

Perception or Tracking roll?: IVC is down will roll later or if GM wants to roll his tracking skill is 14 or less perception 12 or less.

You notice several things as you scan the area. Firstly a number of horse men milled around the wagon, the horses hooves were shod which is not known with the sioux. Secondly you notice at least one clear BOOT print. It is at this point you realise the Sioux was examining the track marks when you arrived.

Samuel aims his gun at the point he heard the noise. After delivering his warning he waits but nothing happens. The forrest is suddenly very still again. Samuel has been around too long to be fooled he can feel the eyes on him and he is sure he is aiming in the right area.

Pericles was about to light the cigar he fished out when he spots two forms apear amongst the trees. They are two male Sioux braves armed with bows which are trained on Pericles and sebastian.

"whoa up, Sebastien."
Pericles rubs the cigar under his nose, savoring the scent, as he tries to size up the intent of the two braves.
"Anyone here speak a civilized tongue?"
"[French] Even French might suffice."

[ooc: I'm assuming Samson and the first brave are near the burnt wagon; how far away from them are we at this point?]
