Re: Is JTAS still going?
Based on everything else they sell, it will be a CD-ROM. Although Traveller 5E comes on a SD Card, so that might be an option. No downloads.

Re: Is JTAS still going?
JTAS Online writers guidelines indicated that JTAS purchased all electronic rights but not print rights.

If you go over to DriveTruRPG you can also pick up the Traveller5 Deck Plan set for free. This is a decent set of deck plans in reasonable quality PDF and various image formats. The one drawback is that they are square maps only, but being that they include good quality PNG files you can easily drop them into an image editor like Paint.net and drop a hex overlay on top of them for use in GURPS.

Re: Is JTAS still going?
GURPS being sold on another site is really weird to see. Looks a bit expensive. I got the whole Traveller original on CDRom for just $35, whereas they broke into two CDs this time. Also, the Disc 1 & 2 don't seem to separate into what is on each of them. Every time I click on either one, it shows me the same PDF file.
I'm actually glad to own the hardback for GTIW (LorenVerse :)). It looks incredible & soft to the touch. Btw, did Traveller 5 ever take off? Or did it become an oddity. |

Re: Is JTAS still going?
What's odd is that the Contents PDF does not include a cover photo for GTIW, but the text list does indeed have it. The text list, however, are reversed in the PDFs (that is, the Contents 1 PDF has cover images for the PDFs included on CDROM 1, but a text list for what's on CDROM 2, and vice-versa for the other one). I hadn't noticed that GTIW was in the text list, as I did was checking cover images to see if all of the books were included between the two CD-ROMs (and, indeed, they are).

Double-check the PDFs. The first line of books listed in the PDF is the same, because both CD-ROMs come with the GURPS Traveller core book and GM Screen, along with a couple other PDFs. The rest of the books are different. The links should be sending you to: Contents CDROM GURPS Traveller 1.pdf On Disk One (People. 157.9 MB):
Contents CDROM GURPS Traveller 2.pdf On Disk Two (Starships. 478.4 MB):
