Attributes Distribution over Populations
So, I was playing around a little with normal distributions, so made this distribution of attributes for any given population... I hope somebody finds it useful

Re: Attributes Distribution over Populations
Maybe the following table will please more the crowd; despite some values looking strange, it is perfectly divided between above and bellow 10, with a total of 38,93% chance for either side, and with 10 being the absolutely most common value - despite the 9 attribute mark being huge, it is balanced with a more evenly distributed value above 10

I could do the unelegant solution of manually adjusting it thou... For the lower ends the numbers are already so small that it wouldnt make a difference for the table composition... |

Re: Attributes Distribution over Populations
So in a population of 8 billion, 11.2 million incapable of learning to comprehend language? 37.6 million who can do pretty much any job as well as a professional by having seen it once on television?

Re: Attributes Distribution over Populations
I think that's more of a problem with how defaults work than with IQ levels.

Yeah well, that's not exactly how it works... Skills with Defaults to Attributes are usually Average or Easy ones, Hard skills most of the time when have Defaults they default to other skills, and VH ones either have no defaults or default to some Hard skills... And Average or Easy skills are either DX related or are "common knowledge" related... Even with IQ 20 you wont just turn into a bioengineer doctor without actually spending points at the skill. Also, again, this actually reflects (more or less) real world distribution, you actually have 14% of population with IQ of 115 to 130 which is considered between very gifted and genius, that's 832 MILLIONS of people, and 2% have IQ between 130 to 145, which is between genius and super genius, to another 16 millions of people, and finally 0.1% have IQ above 145, which is absolutely exceptional, and that's another 8 millions of people, so I'd say that those numbers I placed arent as unreal as may look like, and they actually come closer to real world observation (and yes, I did look it up before doing it) Last edited by KarlKost; 06-30-2022 at 09:52 PM. |

The other thing, a person may be a genius and not use his gifts too Look, I just checked the data; for example, 0,035% of the people have IQ above 160 - that's actually 2.800.000 people! 0.03% may look a pretty insignificant amount - but not when you realize this means almost 3 million people! Re: Attributes Distribution over Populations
Now, the amount of IQs above 190 is 1 in 107,519,234, so almost 1 in 100 million, which would give an amount of 80 people.
That table also serves for the other attributes besides just IQ ok gus, lets not forget that |
