[DFRPG] Crawl! IC - Page 43

While the party amuses themselves with puns, the giant ants try to charge forth and swarm the adventurers...but the shaped earth trenches and walls stop them.

They are now just a yard or two away from the frontline of the party, stuck in the ditch or trying to climb the wall.

Vic scoops his weapon up as he stumbles to his feet to a crouch.

Gathika gets to a crouch herself.

Telrith gets his other weapon in hand. His elemental is ready for a fight...

TURN 3

Bain finds himself empty-handed...

Vic will finish standing, and walk to defend the prisoner from the ants.

His friends' exchange almost catches him off-guard; however, Bain manages to put it up together and cracks a smile.

Praying for his arrows to strike… He gets serious.

As laughter fills antumnos, fly away and steal the warmth…

Bain kneels down and picks his bow, taking three shots against the ants; each attack hits on target (dealing 15, 20 and 20 HP of injury).

When Vic gets to the prisoner he tells him:

Don't BUG out on us, it's just a bunch of ants, I'll keep you safe.

Telrith do you want a spear for Mudborne? It will help him keep away from the pincer's reach!

Bain kills another two ants and knocks out a third.

The ants response by mechanically charging up the wall and attempting to bite Vic as they scuttle over into close melee.
(Attack rolls; 7, 13, 13, 13, 11, 13. Only one attack hits potentially.)
(Vic defends; 10. Parries.)

Vic deflects a mandible with his sword, slicing the ant in the process.
(Vic's Parry counts as an Attack; 8. Damage roll; 6 -2 DR x1.5 cutting. Major wound! HT roll; 8.)

Vic finishes standing and steps away.
