My bad. I need to read closer.

@sir_pudding
If nothing else, SJG doesn't publish a spreadsheet. Maybe Flyndaran isn't adept at creating spreadsheets? I use them somewhat frequently, and I am no ace with spreadsheets. I would feel more confident (of rules compliance) using GVB than my own spreadsheet, even though it is certainly a reasonable route to take. If there were no GVB, I'd use a spreadsheet instead. |

Re: Vehicle Programs compatible with Win7?
Oh sure, and in that case, spreadsheets work well for this kind of thing.

Re: Vehicle Programs compatible with Win7?
If I were to be truly honest with myself the reasons I haven't used spreadsheets is that I'm lazy, and a bit fearful of trying something new.
How are spreadsheets better than the official Vehicle program?

Or, perhaps I should learn to use a spreadsheet.

Re: Vehicle Programs compatible with Win7?
Ok, I'm looking at how to use a spreadsheet for Excel and playing with Open Office.
My, it's much easier than I had feared. Now I feel silly for avoiding it for so long.

If you are building a lot of similar vehicles (eg, TL8, wheeled, civilian), you only have to make little tweaks for each new vehicle. You can then use that sheet as the basis for TL8 wheeled military vehicles, then TL8 tracked military vehicles, etc. OTOH, something like a battlesuit will require a very different sheet, but that's okay, because you can use it for other battleuits and, with a few changes, for mecha.
