All those hours of watching the A-Team getting captured and then locked up inexplicably in a machine shop finally pay off.

Reposting my comment from the 2019 speculation thread :
It is amazing, brillant, captivating, diverse, essential, funny, ... Great book, one of those that instantly become mandatory. Also, "my god it's full of puns" :) And we now have official numbers for boiling water and hot oil ! Answering a 2011 thread. (2011 ? I would have swore it was last year ... nevermind) One very small critic: there is only one item missing to fully cover the "Commando" movie : circular saw blade used as shuriken. Pretty sure everything else is in. Even the kitchen sink... Last edited by Celjabba; 01-18-2019 at 09:54 AM. |

I second this wholeheartedly. Picked it up as soon as I heard about it, started reading and loved it.

Just as a note: when folks say "with Pyramid gone, we can do fun stuff," this is what it means. Sean is an excellent and engaging writer who also happens to be the guy that knows all the rules. When he's not shifting around my crappy prose on yet another block of math (OK, I've not done that for a while, but still) he's doing things he loves doing - writing cool, engaging stuff that shows how GURPS can sing.

I haven't finished it yet, but so far I'm enjoying it immensely. Quite apart from lots of fun rules, it is a great source of ideas for hazards and improvised weapons.

Oh, FSM, this is the best book evar. I think I have laughed on every page and I'm only at F.
And so much of it is useful in games that aren't over-the-top Action games. Not that I would know what one of those looks like . . .. |

indeed
This could be for the better, series like Action and Dungeon Fantasy carry a greater air of legitimacy to encourage inclusion, and splitting into 10-20 genre series can be easier to remember numbers than a 100+ overall thing. |

This is absolutely hands-down fantastic. Inspired. Borderline indispensable. Just excellent, thank you.
