[DF] Close to Hell in Pyramid 3-50 vs. DF 11
On page 14 of Pyramid 3-50 Dungeon Fantasy II, there is a trait on the Demon Knight lens called Close to Hell. It costs five points per level and grants a bonus to Exorcism, Hidden Lore (Demons), Occultism, and Psychology (Demons).
In Dungeon Fantasy 11 Power-Ups, on page 24, there is a trait called Close to Hell. It also offers the bonuses to the skills listed in the version in Pyramid 3-50, but extends that bonus to Religious Ritual and Theology, as well as granting a reaction bonus to rolls made with demons. Does this represent an error in Pyramid or in DF 11, or are these two talents with the same name actually supposed to be different? |

The trait description in the Pyramid article may just be incomplete. It only lists the skills that are present on that lens. I wouldn't call it an error, just an omission.

I like that interpretation! I'm writing data files for GCA, and I would rather not have an alt version of a trait with the same name.

What she said--^
It's a must-have book, if you don't yet.

It's the same in PU3 as it is in DF11.

I have PU 3, and I agree, it is a must-have whatever your preferred genre.
I think I'll just regard the description in the Pyramid article as incomplete. |
