I'm tempted to delete Fencing
Fencing becomes an alias for Sword Expertise.
Main Gauche is covered by the Knife talent and functions as per first printing Advanced Melee. (It isn't a suitable Staff focus.)

Re: I'm tempted to delete Fencing
I agree that with Weapon Expertise and Two Weapons, Fencing is no longer necessary. I offer some further thoughts on my blog.

It does now mention it more specifically. Thanks for pointing that out!

Re: I'm tempted to delete Fencing
So I'm not ready to give up on the concept of FENCING talents, but I share many concerns with their current implementation. That's one of the reasons that I created certain 'rule firewalls' between the FENCING talents and the other ACTs (i.e. no dual rapiers with only FENCER, main-gauche use not covered by the KNIFE talent, etc.). I'm currently playtesting revised versions of the Legacy ACTs that break their abilities into a 3-tier model (Specialization, Expertise, and Mastery) and that make certain abilities (like disarming) exclusive to a specific weapon group or fighting style.
As I have stated elsewhere, I'm convinced that the Legacy ACTs didn't get much playtesting before the ruleset was released. They clearly need some polish.

Re: I'm tempted to delete Fencing
I liked the Fencing in the Original TFT.
So I recreated it as an IQ 12 Talent Wild Swordsman (3) [same as Original TFT Fencing] You have a tendency to do wild throws {no, not actually throwing your sword} with your blade that make contact in lucky ways. You may use any sword that you have the ST for. When you use this talent, you do DOUBLE damage on any "to hit" roll or 7, 6, or 5, and TRIPLE damage on a 4 or 3. PreReq = 14DX (adjDX not below 14 when using ability) and Sword Talent. This style is incompatible with Fencing Talent, which requires a different control technique.
