GURPS 4e Low-Tech

At last it's available! I just downloaded it.

What do the Shots for the flamethrowers mean? It's not explained anywhere.

Well, for example, 12x1s means twelve shots, each with a duration of one second.

Also note that here, there are different additional material, research assistance, and playtest credits for Low-Tech and each of the three Companion projects. If your contribution was mainly in one of the latter works, then that's where you'll be credited.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm not on the list, but it was a big playtest and I suppose that free hard copies for most playtesters could get noticeably expensive. I did contribute the Kyrennia ship and stats for a variety of writing materials.

I remember that from HT/UT... might be covered briefly in basic set. Basically 60x1s means it has 60 shots... each lasts 1s of burn time whereas one with 1x60s means it has one shot after shooting it will provide 60s of burn time (but you can't stop the stream once started... after it's ignited it's going to be burning for 60s you can redirect the jet every turn, but there's no 'let go of the trigger' to stop... you can do the same effect with the other by holding down the trigger every turn for 60s to get a continuous stream but it can stop shooting to hold fuel in reserve).

GURPS hasn't been having as many playtests as they used to. Back when they were doing a half dozen a year, that was pretty well understood (policy changed after a fiasco on some book, I don't recall which at this point), but it could maybe do with clarification now.

Ah, thank you. That makes perfect sense.

Martial Arts contains rules to target the joints, but is it possible to target the shoulder/upper arm/forerm/shin/thigh?

Hitting 'Em Where It Hurts (High-Tech, p. 69) seems applicable. This wasn't reproduced in Low-Tech largely because the book has 160 pages to High-Tech's 256 pages.

Yes. You should never suppose that "didn't get playtest credit" means "contributed nothing of value." A typical playtest may have one or two people in that position (who likely won't get invited into the next one), but most of the people who don't get credit made some worthwhile contribution, and will be welcome to take part in future playtests.
