But we *need* that book. Rules for holding the cabaret on transparent aluminum rather than ice would be an incredibly useful model for adapting to all kinds of alternative surfaces.

I broke my own resolution to purchase nothing until Septermber, and I bought this book. I have no regrets. It's fantastic. Five out of five stars.

...not quite. You probably already figured this out, but alchemy in Edge of Reality has essentially no overlaps with alchemy in GURPS Magic save for the name and it produces an entirely different range of products. This is "historical" alchemy which produces low-tech superscience medicine, turns lead to gold, and doesn't do much else. I suppose one might try to shoehorn magic elixirs into EoR's degrees of refinement, perhaps by working through the material costs, but magical elixir prices are essentially arbitrary anyway, so I see limited utility there.

Quick errata question:
The Air Rifle has a 1/2D range of 30 and a Max range of 400. This is inconsistent with the other pneumatic weapon (the ballista) and with most weapons in general. I suppose an air rifle could have really sucky ballistics, but is it possible that a 0 was accidentally dropped from the 1/2D range (or was added to the Max range)?
