Question regarding labyrinth map in Legacy Edition
There is a labyrinth map, in the same style as the Tollenkar’s Lair map, packaged with the reference booklet in the Legacy Edition. Does this go with something else or is it just a map to do with as one pleases?

Re: Question regarding labyrinth map in Legacy Edition
It's just a colorized copy of the same one originally included in the TFT package back in the day (actually it's the same map as Tollenkar's Lair too). Basically it allows you to create your own keyed dungeon without having to draft one up. As I said, it's what they did with Tollenkar's Lair, which is part of why Tollenkar's Lair is such a great training tool for new GMs!
BTW, it's also geomorphic -- meaning if you print a few more copies of it, you can arrange them side-by-side, upside down and adjacent, end-to-end, or whatever and create a massive superdungeon (or mega-dungeon, as they call 'em these days) for your adventurers to die in. (In fact, back in the day, I did just that with nine copies of the old map, and after my players had bashed around it for a few months, did it again for another "level of levels" below the first -- I tell ya, Gary and Dave had nothing on me for mega-dungeons! Bwahahahaha! :-P) |
