Default Defend and disengage

One common movie swordfight trope is a fighter yielding ground without being hurt.

What if the Expertise/Mastery defense required the character to disengage in order to activate these? A voluntary retreat that allows hostiles to follow them.

Excellent idea.

Though, depending on how you do it, it could also end up being a new advantage, as it could be used like a free Disengage.

I've also playtested a version where the extra defense dice they get are per turn rather than applying to all attacks, so they can be overwhelmed by multiple foes.

If you have a higher adj. DX than your opponent, this is effectively what happens when you disengage anyway. What were you thinking of that would be different from that?
