Shapeshifting spell

If a Druid knows the spell shapeshifting (form) or permanent shapeshifting (form), does the Druid also have to pay CP for that form?

Example - the Hound.

It would have a CP cost to learn the spell. When cost it has and energy cost. But does it also cost 127 CP for that specific form? Or even 14 Points?


Shapeshifting: 7 to cast, 3 to maintain; or 127 points.

The spell just costs 1 CP to learn and a whole bunch of FP to cast / maintain.

The advantage version costs a lot more CP, but is a lot more powerful. (EG no FP cost, works in low mana, lasts as long as you want etc)

The Spell(s) and Alternate Form Advantage are entirely different things.

You can learn the spell for 1 CP, cost it for 7 energy (for your given example), and you have the form for the duration of the spell.

Short answer: no, you don't have to pay for both the spell and the form. One or the other.
