point cost for an across-the-board +1
How much would it be worth to receive a +1 to all rolls for a character - attribute rolls (and the skill rolls that derive from them), reactions and damage? I'm thinking something on the order of 60 for the attributes, plus 5 for the reactions and, hmm, 5? for the damage. Does that seem reasonable?
The plan, of course, is that it wouldn't be always on - various Accessibility limitations per (and a tweaked version of) this thread that y'all helped me with a long time ago, like "only during the full moon" for wood elves or "only at night" for vampiroids. My thought is that an across-the-board bonus could streamline things from having to list multiple stats like damage and BL on the character sheet itself. Final, not-so-thought-through question: looking at it this way, Daredevil and Higher Purpose seem surprisingly cheap. Is this because they're only for limited rolls maybe, or because their bonuses occur infrequently in the game? All thoughts welcome and appreciated! |

Re: point cost for an across-the-board +1
Getting a damage bonus with all possible weapons is more than 5 points.

Re: point cost for an across-the-board +1
I think about 60 points per level feels about right with a maximum of three levels.
Note: the bless spell is a more cost effective way of achieving the same effect. |

+1 for everything When Doing A Specific Thing And A Higher Power Can Take Your Power Away is the Higher Purpose advantage, 5 points.

Re: point cost for an across-the-board +1
Striking ST 1[5] and Striking ST 1(Thrusting Only, -20%) [8]
DX+1[20] with Basic Speed -0.25[-5] (= [15]) IQ+1 [20] HT+1 [10] with Basic Speed -0.25[-5] and FP-1[-3] (= [2]) Reaction +1 [5]. There you go, +1 each to Swing and Thrust damage, +1 to all DX-, IQ-, Per-, Will-, and HT-based skill or attribute rolls, and +1 reaction bonus from everyone. Total cost? [50/level]

You left out +1 Dodge, +1/2 Parry/Block.

Re: point cost for an across-the-board +1
So to cover most rolls you need something like:
Striking ST +2 (equates to about +1 to damage) [10] DX +1 (Selling back Basic Speed for -5 pts) [15] IQ +1 [20] HT +1 (selling back Basic Speed for -5 pts, selling back FP -3) [2] +1 to reaction rolls [5] And all of this is going to be alternate abilities of each other since you're not using them at the same time. Total cost would be something like (2 + 15 + 4 + 1 + 1) 23 points. I'd probably just put that to 25 points. Edit: Maths gone wrong.

Re: point cost for an across-the-board +1
Based on Higher Purpose, I'd cost it at 5 points with the following caveat: the circumstances where the advantage triggers need to either be in the GM's control ("defend the woodlands from invaders"; "complete my deity's holy quest"), for a limited but predictable time period ("run berserk under the full moon"), or require significant risk on the player's part ("only when taking risky maneuvers in combat*").
Outside of those limiting restrictions, the price would be significantly higher. *Assuming you price Daredevil as 5 points worth of 'bonus to actions taken' and 10 points worth of 'reroll all your critical failures'. |

Were defense rolls intentionally ommited?

Re: point cost for an across-the-board +1
Then DX+1(Block/Parry Only, -80%)[4]
Enhanced Dodge 1[15] This puts us at [79] for the total. I wouldn't balk at [100] for a "universal +1 to everything" trait but looking at this it seems like that might be overcharging.
