[Templates] Doing something new with Background skills
I'm trying something new when making templates for my Trudvang conversion. Instead of giving each template its own set of Background skills, each region and type of area gives its own list of background skills. Then each template just says "x" number of points to be used for background skills. Has anyone else tried something like this? How did it work out?

Re: [Templates] Doing something new with Background skills
I have seen in Monster Hunters that they have "motivation" lenses of 15 points, or something like that.
I wouldn't mind seeing D&D 3E-style background lenses, however. :-)

Re: [Templates] Doing something new with Background skills
Action also has professional lenses, which are listed as Background skills in the templates but refer back to 5-11 lenses for common Action hero backgrounds (law enforcement, criminal, spy, etc.).
So it seems like a well supported option.
