Very nice, and now it's considerably less likely that her foes will fall down laughing at her light...er...poles...

Re: Art for games
What's the light source? Logically it should be the light sabers, since it's the right color of light, but that wouldn't produce the lighting pattern seen here (which is fairly even from head to toe, though apparently close by, since the stairwell is nearly invisible).

Re: Art for games
Actually, the lightsabers are a light source. Just not the only one, nor are they the most intense. There is sun light coming in from windows behind her, and some in front of, but below, and to the sides.
Here is what it would look like with just the lightsabers as a light source. Lux/Reality is awesome, I can turn off light sources and see what the effect is in a matter of seconds, and then make an image from that. Here is the final render with multiple, but not directly seen, light sources. If you look closely at the top of her head, you can see a light source reflected through her hair. |

Re: Art for games
My character, Pink's birthday was March 15th. So, I had started working on this. I didn't get it finished until today because of work needing me to do some photoshop work for them.
(What? Photoshop has entered my job description somehow?!) Edit- After some discussion with MonkeyFist, we agreed that there should be a more appropriate media outlet for the announcment. So, this morning (1600 is morning for me, at the moment), I put this version together. This one is subject to change waiting on hearing if they'd want to use different fonts or logos. Re: Art for games
I did this to show the size/height differences between Pink and Argurous. Okay, this was after I made sure they were the right sizes.
Even with those platforms and redonkulously long legs Pink is tiny. Good thing super powers don't always care about physical bulk. |

Re: Art for games
Sorry, guys. I've been over at Access Denied doing some pictures for Bob (well, just one, that's taken most of March).
I made this based on a character named Ignis from an Anime/H-game I can't remember the name of. The hallway has some weird scaling issues. The individual doors actually vary in height, so she's not a giant. I had to look at the model before I realized that. |

Re: Art for games
This one's only at 1.1k samples, so, it's not done yet. But, it's at a high enough quality to show.
I'm enjoying the new build of Lux, it's making networked rendering easier and has fixed transparency problems that I had with the previous release. |
