Is Apocalypse framework any good?

I just saw that a kickstarter is in progress for an Avatar (Last Airbender, not blue cat-people) RPG. They say they use Apocalypse framework, but I have no experience with it. Do any of you?

Apparently, it's used in Monster of the Week, Masks: A New Generation, and Root: The RPG. I've not played any of these.

I don't want to jump on the kickstarter if the rules are going to be garbage.

So... Thoughts? Experience?
