Selling Souls

Is the formal selling of human souls, outside becoming a Soldier of Hell, a thing in this game? Clearly getting as many humans as possible to damn themselves is a priority for demons, in addition to serving their Words, but do they actually make pacts with mortals? Can the Lilim use their Resonance to do that?

Mortals can do it, but there are only two cases in which it has force.

First, if the human becomes formally Hellsworn, gaining an Infernal Force, they automatically damn themselves (or at least reversing the process is incredibly difficult).

On the other hand, if a human simply signs a written contract with a demon giving it ownership of one's soul in exchange for some favor or material good, then the human isn't damned automatically -- but they (a) have already done an extremely morally dubious thing, which doesn't put them in a good position to achieve their Destiny, and (b) are a focus of attention of the demon, who will put forth some effort to see to it that the human meets their Fate and is damned the normal way.

When that happens, the contract does have some force under Hellish law -- the demon who signed the contract with the human can claim the damned soul as their personal property.

Corporeal Player's Guide. Goes in to great detail about the fates of mortal souls under various conditions. And is an excellent sourcebook in general -- after your favorite Superiors I'd most recommend it and the EPG.
