She succeeds!

TURN 11
Cassandra and her ally fast draw arrows and nock them.
Fireballs summons a fireball
# 2 Enemy archer fires and misses (from last turn, my bad)
Enemy archer #3 fast draws and nocks
Enemy archer #1 drops their arrow
Flanking archers shoot at their targets (two at glaives, one at wings)
-6 to skill (-11 range, +3 acc, +2 time) ... 10's and 11's are so close but not enough.
7 skeletons at 55 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 60 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors 60 yards to your left

TURN 12
Cassandra Aims at fire balls, ally aims on oncoming warriors
Enemy Archer #3 aims
Enemy archers #1, #2 fast draw and nock arrows
Flanking archers fast draw (very sloppily, but all succeed) and nock arrows
7 skeletons at 51 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 56 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors 56 yards to your left

TURN 13
Cassandra and ally aim (2 seconds)
Enemy Archer and fireballs #3 aim (2 seconds)
Enemy archers #1 and #2 aim
Flanking archers aim
7 skeletons at 47 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 52 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors 52 yards to your left

TURN 14
Cassandra and ally aim (3 seconds)
Enemy Archer and fireballs #3 aim (3 seconds)
Enemy archers #1 and #2 aim (2 seconds)
Flanking archers aim (2 seconds)7 skeletons at 43 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 48 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors 48 yards to your left

TURN 15
Cassandra shoots at fireballs and rolls a 6! its a hit!
Fireballs dodges, loosing his aim... but with a 14, its no use!
Cassandra rolls 8 damage... fireballs's thick robes take off a point of damage, but the arrow goes quite a ways in. But the hit doesn't look right. Its like she's shooting something inhuman. Fireballs is visibly injured and struggling, but still up, and after a hit like that, he shouldn't be.
The ally hits a glaive soldier, but his armor absorbs the 2 damage from the arrow.
Fireballs aims at Cassandra again.
enemy archer #3 shoots at horseman. Its a miss (rolled 14).
Enemy archers #1 and #2 aim (3 seconds)
Flanking archers aim (3 seconds)7 skeletons at 39 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 44 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors 44 yards to your left

Cassandra will try to tag the glaive soldier next, with only 1 round of aiming, she is also going to start backpedaling

At least as I see it her plan is

Next round, Cassandra ready bow, step back 1, Fireball aim 2
Cassandra aim, step back 1, Fireball aim 3
Cassandra shoot, step back 1, fireball shoot

At least this is the plan!

With enemies only advancing at 4 this helps

"Belsani is right that they apparently aren't from Holidor. And is right that we don't know what they might do later on.

"Old Man Trendil is right. It would not be dishonorable to return the Venasir to their own people. What happens after that is not our responsibility. Their conflicts with each other are their own.

"Timar is right that it would be possible to slit their throats. But after they surrendered, that would violate the principles of the honorable Haunden warrior. So as I am a warrior, we cannot do that." (Code of Honor and Stubbornness kicking in.)

"Let us secure them and assign guards as they did to Haunden.

"I and anyone else who has medical training can make sure all the Haunden wounds are minor and don't need treatment. I already did some checking of course, but we can do a quick check just to be certain.

"Then, after we are fully rested, we can head to Holidor."

They tie up the Venasir, set guards, and Anoras binds up some cuts and poltices some brusies.

Gerrund: "I think we should save our own people before disposing of prisoners by walking into an enemy fortress. Either go home first, or split into two groups."

Very interesting...

TURN 16
Cassandra and her ally both fast draw and nock arrows
Cassandra steps back to 1 to back.
Fireballs aims again (2 seconds).
enemy archer #3 fast draws and nocks an arrow
Enemy archers #1 and #2 shoot at glaive and sword. one arrow bounces off armor, another misses
Flanking archers shoot one at glaives, two at wings
One arrow hits glaives for 2 damage through armor and 3 injury. No stunning roll.
7 skeletons at 35 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 40 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors 40 yards to your left

TURN 17
Allied archer aims
Cassandra steps back to 2 to back and aims
Fireballs aims again (3 seconds).
enemy archer #3 aims
Enemy archers #1 and #2 fast draw and nock arrows
Flanking archers draw arrows... #1 nocks, #2 just draws.
7 skeletons at 31 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 36 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors 36 yards to your left

TURN 18
Allied archer aims again (2 seconds)
Cassandra shoots at glaive and steps back to 3 behind
Skill 16 -8 (range) + 3 (acc) vs 5 is a hit... but a dodge of 4 saves him.
Fireballs launches a projectile at cassandra... very much at the edge of range. a roll of 5 is a potential hit. Cassandra can dodge.
enemy archer #3 aims (2 seconds)
Enemy archers #1 and #2 aim
Flanking archer #1 aims.
Flanking archer #2 nocks
7 skeletons at 27 yards to front
Enemy Warriors (3) and Wings at 32 yards to front
Horseman and three allied warriors 3 yards to front
Four allied warriors are 32 yards to your left

OOC: Gerrund's thoughts were actually my thoughts. But....

Both Anoras's Code of Honor (Professional) and Stubbornness are worth -5 points. So with the GM's permission, I'm going to suggest that one of the below will work. This is for Anoras's Code of Honor to the wounded as a healer, and recognition as a warrior that Gerrund has a lot more experience than she has, Vs. Stubbornness.

A) I think her Stubbornness would not require her to put people, including her own patients, in danger. Or:

B) If CoH would not in this case overrule Stubbornness, then the two conflicting -5s would balance out. That would leave Anoras to do what she thinks best.

Assuming the GM agrees with A) or B), I'm going to roll on Tactics. That's for Anoras to choose the best of Gerrund's two plans. (Note part of the reason I want to do this as a roll is to avoid playing out-of-character knowledge I have of Cassandra that Anoras does not have.)

Made roll.

Speed 7, and has combat reflexes. Spend 1 FP for Feverish Defense (down to 13 FP? Dodge up to 13)

I'd like to get the party back together again, and thus I'm fine with that metagaming decision!

Please divide your force into those going back with the less useful and those delivering the prisoners.

Anoras (speaking in Haunden a bit Stubbornly): "I see, Gerrund, you agree with the options I had in mind. We can divide our force into those who are less qualified in this situation who can go back to Haunden, and those who will be delivering the prisoners with us."

As they'll be following "her" plan, Anoras will be open to suggestions on who goes with which group.
