Munchkin Quest Gauntlet?

According to today's Daily Illuminator, The Czar was demoing this new set at Gen Con. Can't wait to get more details about this.

Since it was demoed, can I reasonably assume it will be out this year? I am not sure what the time frame is between public demos and actual release.

As far as I know, the Gauntlet is not a set. It's a demo event for MQ, just to show the basic mechanics of the game, just like Rigged Demo and Marked for Death works for Munchkin card games.

Correct. It's just a quick demo, not a product.

The Gauntlet was drastically shortened this year; it's more of a wristband.

But the good news is, it seems to have worked, and I'm going to be writing up a full demo for the other minions to playtest at PAX. If it works, I'll post the demo to the MIB area for everyone to use.

I really look foward to it. I've been curious about what this gauntlet is about since I first heard of it....

As someone who has ran both the original Gauntlet, and the new improved version at this years GenCon, I can say it does an excellent job of showing the ropes of MQ. Wonderful job Andrew, can't wait till its available to demo at my local stores. I really think it will boost interest in the game.

Is there any chance that this could become a product like the Rigged and Cursed Demos? If so, would it use copies of items already in MQ or would it be like Marked for Death and contain new things that could be mixed in with the game?

Thats awesome Andrew. I loved the original Gauntlet when running it last year at PAX so am looking forward to trying out the new version.
