It is valid in DFRPG, I think . The druid have access to both spells, at least.

I wish healing slumber had been on their list. It allows a party to get by with just a druid for healing but at noticable cost (risk of wandering monsters while the Barbarian is sleeping off his last berserk rage) and without creeping into cleric territory of combat heals.
