Default [DF] Setting Starter Kit (Books for Worldbuilding)

Just wanted to make a post for a people looking to build a world for their Dungeon Fantasy game. For starters, Fantasy 4e and Fantasy Folk 3e is a good foundation. Fantasy being the go to toolkit and Fantasy Folk, with tweaks, to help flesh out the races found in DF3 The Next Level. Religion 3e with DF7 Clerics, DF9 Summoners (for the bit about cosmology), and DF17 Guilds (for religious groups and also for other organizations). DFT1 Glittering Prizes for what money would look like for each state, race, or ancient civilization. And to round it off with locations like Hellsgate from Locations Hellsgate, Old Than from Pyramid #3/64 "The Qanat Pirates of Old Than," expanding the mysterious east with Pyramid #3/89 "Eastern Adventures," and Banestorm: Abydos with Pyramid #3/70 "Destination: Abydos."

And a good starting seed would be "It's been a few hundred years since the Great Empire fell and now a new kingdoms have risen form the ashes. The ruins of the golden age are calling adventurers to rediscover it's secrets and bounty or doom."

Any thoughts and recommendations? And what would be your worldbuilding seed be?

If you want to do a underground dungeon style adventures you could add that Dwarves and Goblinoid races live in subterranean cities. They might have an underground ecology with sessile mana eaters taking the place of plants, possibly emitting light as a waste product or to lure pollinating insects. Alternatively, they could trade metal and stone craftsmanship for food with the surface. Less civilized groups might steal food while living underground. Dungeons might be settlements abandoned and taken over by monsters when the empire fell or old fortresses in wars between surface and deep dwelling races.

Yeah, Underground Adventures for that type of dungeon crawl. I forgot about that book. Also I would add the Insect Men from Fantasy Folk to that. Just have them be Coleopteran instead and they would be a good wildcard race underground. Maybe throw in some Shadow Elves and Dark Ones too.
