Handy for the current story arc in my fantasy setting (the PC's recently got given a rundown manorship out on the edge to re-civilize). Thanks, Stefanj.

It's a village sourcebook. Maybe it will be of use to someone.

I believe it's a Word 2003 format file . . . at least, that's what OpenOffice said I was saving it as.

I'll re-post it tonight as a RTF. That should work for everybody.

Thanks for that.

EDIT: OK, I got ambitious. I updated the original message above, and the link in my signature, to point at a RTF version. This opened fine in AbiWord, which is pretty picky, as well as in Office 2007.

If you're working on it in OpenOffice, use the Export to PDF function. It's on the file menu, as well as the default toolbar. Works for me all the time, and anyboy coming here will be able to read a PDF.

Hey, that's good to know!

As it stands, I have to resist the temptation to do any more work on this, even further formatting to make the PDF look good.

I am just starting to write up a campaign based on GURPS Space. I am jotting down my notes regarding learning and using the GURPS system here:

[URL Preview here: http://preview.tinyurl.com/4muxyep]

and the campaign is called "The Geopolitics of Asteroid Mining", which I'm building up here:

I also have a D&D 4th Ed group and campaign that I've worked up things for at the same site.

I'm a mac fan, so all that was done with iWeb, Pages, OmniGraffle, and Numbers. would love some feedback, so please leave a comment while you're there.

Looks solid. My only idea was that you might consider using future history dates for all your 'blog' entries. E.g. write up the setting info on Mars as text (article, history textbook, encyclopedia entry, ...) that was actually published in your future history and use that date as your published date.

Thanks for looking. I tried briefly to do that and couldn't see how to edit the date. I might have another go!

I looked at your site. That is a true work of art! just fantastic! I loved the switches etc. your campaign looks a lot of fun. how have you been going with it?

Hey, cool resource. Thanks, I'll be looking it.

But it isn't well displayed in Microsoft Office Wordviewer SP3. The same problem happens in Word 2007. I don't know why, maybe it's my computer . . . but it shows:

"D-----n F-----y: Villages is a sourcebook for G----S D-----n F-----y campaigns."

Instead displaying "Dungeon Fantasy", it displays "D-----n F-----y". Like has been suggested, a PDF file would throw away any sort of file incompatibility.
