How are we doing with "investors" so far? Are we anywhere close to the 500 mark yet?

Ok. Put me down for a nominal 20 tiles then.

Hi folks! I was away on vacation so I apologize for the slow responses to tile queries.

UPDATE: We are at 130-160 tiles requested. Just a reminder that we don't NEED to have 500 to order, it will just shave a bit off the price. We will be going ahead with this regardless of how many people are interested; I want some of these for myself! @:-)

Just want to say, this is a cool idea, but the price is too rich for my blood. If they were half the cost, I could see myself getting some.

Moin,

any chance to make the hexes slightly smaller 20mm ?
I have toyed with or depatment printer 25 mm hexes take up a lot of space.

If we were having say, 10000 made, we might be able to get the cost halved. Unfortunately it looks like we're only going to be ordering 200-ish total. I would point out that even at $6 a tile they are not a bad deal, since they will probably last a very long time due to the quality of materials used in them. I'm getting 40, which is expensive, but it's my birthday gift to me and I'll never need to print off another hex grid again.

Regarding changing the hex size, we're sticking with 25mm because a lot of miniatures and GURPS are made to that standard. 25mm works quite well with Cardboard Heros, for instance.

My group has had variable success with homemade grid systems and am now sort of in the market for just such a thing. We are in Canada (Ottawa), so hopefully shipping wouldn't be bad.

All I can afford are 4 at the moment :o(, but members from my group may also be posting orders shortly.

Nice idea.

Heck, I'm in Ottawa, and that's where the tiles are being made as well. Shipping could be as simple as us meeting somewhere :D

We make Textured WET ERASE flexible grid mats, normally we supply them fully painted, but it woundn't be any trouble to do a run of clear ones if anybody's interested. They are 30"x20"

Also have a prototype run on the old Tact Tiles model. Hex tiles are in the works...

Not dead folks! I'm in the middle of a major move and things have been crazy. I will have intermittent internet access for the next couple weeks but as soon as I'm back online steady I hope to start the ball rolling on having the hex tiles made.

Kale - Moving! (within same city, but still complex process)
